SSSI Instructor Positions
Center for Companies That Care, a nonprofit dedicated to dramatically increasing college graduation rates among underserved youth, has received funding from the City of Chicago to provide summer programming for 70 underserved youth, ages 16 - 21. We are seeking a Lead Instructor and three Assistant Instructors to work 25 hours per week from June 25 – August 15th.
The programs include: classroom instruction, small group experiential activities and field trips. One program (CAI Chicagobility) explores a variety of different careers and the other (CAI One Summer Chicago Plus (OSC+) exposes students to a variety of business functions while planning a 5K event. Both programs will be based at downtown locations. Curriculum has been created for both programs.

The ideal applicants will:
- Have teen and young adult work experience, via school, camp, or other student-focused programs,
- Have experience working with underserved youth,
- Be able to connect with students and be perceived as trustworthy, caring, in charge, and fun
- Have strong classroom management skills and strong project management skills
- Be enthusiastic, charismatic, and able to tie summer experiences to college and career
Compensation will be based on experience and the City of Chicago grant parameters.
