Sysmex America, Inc. (SAI), on the Honor Roll for 6 consecutive years, focuses on continuous improvement in all 10 Characteristics. In particular, the company has expanded its learning and development initiatives for leaders. The organization has created and begun to implement a new Manager Academy for new or inexperienced leaders of others. SAI is also enhancing its development programs for Directors and Sr. Directors. These actions are in addition to the company’s already very successful Global Exchange and Global Internship Programs. The company wants all employees to understand The Sysmex Way not just during onboarding but throughout their careers. Therefore, refresher training is available through online and face-to-face sessions. SAI seeks employee input on a variety of matters. Employees were able to influence what would be offered at their new corporate headquarters and are very pleased with such amenities as the collaboration spaces, fitness center, and cafeteria. The move to new offices did not increase turnover rates. Employees also participate on cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. Their contributions are recognized in many ways (e.g. business updates, salary increases, bonuses, and development experiences). All levels of SAI employees get involved in community endeavors by making financial donations, working to address societal issues, and volunteering.
