LAST CALL TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!
BECOME AN AIM HIGH MENTOR AND/OR SPONSOR FOR 2008-2009
AIM HIGH LOGO
Now is the time.
This is the last call for the 2008-2009 school year. We are recruiting AIM High sponsors and mentors for current 9th graders.  Please contact David Fine (davidfine@companies-that-care.org) or call 312.661.1010 if you want to learn more or would like to:

Sponsor a Student...
with a tax-deductible contribution of $5000/year for four years.  Every student requires a sponsor to be enrolled in the program.

Mentor a Student...
by organizing a team of dedicated volunteers (3-5 employees per student).  It takes only 45 hours per year per team to fully participate and make a critical difference in a student's life.  Companies may mentor multiple students.

Here's what one mentor says:

"I deeply believe that we can positively influence our student's lives.  I recommend getting involved with AIM High. Because it's a four year program we're able to really connect with our students and stay with them through their entire high school journey. The time commitment is manageable.  We meet with the students every four to six weeks and email them in between. The team mentoring concept works well.  Although I was originally skeptical, with everyone's busy schedules, it's good to know there's always other people who can fill in for you. Because this program directly addresses the educational "potholes" identified in a 2008 University of Chicago study, we know we're truly making a difference.  And besides, mentoring is a great way to get to know the people you work with."

Sponsor an Event...
Help support the AIM High program by sponsoring one of eight different events held each year.

Recruit a Colleague...
Forward this email to someone you know who might be interested in mentoring or sponsoring a student. If we all do a little, we can truly accomplish a lot!
